Bridges provides counseling services to the community, and training opportunities for individuals in the field of counseling.

Because Bridges to a New Day specializes in providing the counseling services listed above, we refer out individuals seeking services for batterer intervention, substance abuse, and/or psychiatric treatment.

Eligibility: We refuse no one based on location. We reserve the right to determine if our services are a good fit for your needs.

Fees: We are a Blue Cross/Blue Shield provider, and as a courtesy, we will bill your insurance provider directly. Fees may be reduced based on proven financial need. Please contact our office for details.

Professional Training for Counselors

Training Programs

  • Professional Trainings can be done at your site thus saving you cost and travel time

Internships and Professional Supervision for Counselors

We accept both Bachelor and Master Degree interns based on agency needs. We accept professionals for supervision as agency resources allow.

  • Professional supervision provided for LPC working to obtain their LCPC
  • Professional supervision provided for CDVP

In the 2012-2013 fiscal year, we provided:

  • We provided over 1349 hours of service to 500 clients
  • We were given approval by the state to provide continuing education credits for workshops to counselors.
  • We have provided 5 CE trainings for social service professionals (provided 2 in collaboration with other agencies).
  • We added a male counselor to add diversity to our staff and meet the needs of the younger male population.
  • We continue to provide an in-school group to about 40 students at Irene King elementary in Romeoville
  • Our on-line Etsy shop replaced our annual fall fundraiser.  We happily accept donations of items that are at least 20 years old. All profits are used to support agency programs.
  • Increase our ability to serve insurance clients by becoming a provider for Humana Insurance Company.
  • We continue to provide free domestic violence counseling and low-cost counseling services to the area community
